SENIOR DIRECTOR, TOTAL REWARDS - 19-0275
Indianapolis, IndianaReporting directly to the VP of Total Rewards, this role will lead the Compensation, Benefits and Wellness teams. It is responsible for developing and implementing enterprise-wide strategies, fostering best practices, and driving operational excellence across OneAmerica's Total Rewards programs.
Other responsibilities include:
- Leading successful annual compensation planning including, but not limited to the execution of base salary, bonus, awards and all related communications and administration
- Leading the design, annual planning and implementation of the company's benefit programs, including Health and Welfare, 401K/Retirement, Executive Benefits, Voluntary Benefits and Wellness initiatives
- Responsible for establishing all standard processes and operating principles for the administration and communication of OneAmerica's Total Rewards program
- Monitoring trends, legislative and business changes for impact on Total Rewards and ensuring legal compliance
- Ensuring benefits, wellness and compensation are competitive with the marketplace, sustainable, scalable, integrated with business strategy and have an impact on the long- and short-term performance of the organization
- Proactively researching, analyzing and assessing market data, incorporating industry trends and best practices into the Total Rewards strategy
- Evaluating existing strategies and programs to ensure that the company remains competitive in the market to optimize the ability to attract and retain top talent, while simultaneously balancing costs and meeting business objectives
- Proactively reviewing compensation matters and trends and recommending compensation structure and base pay adjustments; annual and long-term cash incentive plan design changes, target bonus levels, equity award guidelines, and competitive benefit programs
- A minimum of 8 years of broad based and progressive experience designing and managing Total Rewards programs
- Bachelor's Degree is required.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking capability and a track record of innovating and evolving Total Rewards programs with the needs of the organization
- Ability to achieve goals through influencing, partnering and developing productive relationships with senior leadership and line managers across the business
- High energy and drive to create an environment of continuous improvement
- Proven success managing communication strategies that reinforce compensation and benefits message
- Strong background in Compensation is a must
