INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER - 19-0150

Indianapolis, Indiana

Responsible for analyzing, designing, building, and implementing business-aligned, integrated learning solutions that align with OneAmerica business goals using a variety of techniques and tools. Partners with performance consultants to lead mid-sized learning design and development efforts. Assists with and may lead portions of design sessions, project meetings, and other events. Builds relationships with associates at all levels of the organization to increase business acumen, provide education and promote the value of the training function, and influence decision-making.

Essential Functions:

? Participates in needs analysis and recommends effective learning solutions.
? Collaborates with performance consultants, multimedia developers, technical trainers, subject-matter experts, business leaders, technologists, and other project team members on design, development, implementation, and evaluation of learning solutions.
? Promotes a blended delivery method for instruction. (i.e., web-based, self-paced, OJT)
? Uses all approved processes, tools and templates to standards for development and reporting.
? Manages the review cycle for individual or multiple learning solutions; may lead review or SME meetings.
? Participates in and contributes to sub-teams, communities of practice, and other opportunities to enhance knowledge and skill.
? Provides technical direction on design and development of web-based learning technology projects, collaborates with project team members, subject-matter experts, and business leadership on requirements, design, development, and implementation of projects using multimedia software.
? Develops and manages sub-project plans, functional specifications, and schedules.

? BA/BS in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or related field. Masters in Instructional Systems Technology or Instructional Design preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the design and development of learning solutions, including at least 4 years designing web-based and blended learning solutions; OR any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
? Demonstrated experience making content and minor functional updates in rapid elearning authoring tools such as Articulate 360.
? Demonstrated experience with the ADDIE model. SAM or another agile iterative design and development model experience preferred.
? Demonstrated project management experience. PMP or CAPM preferred.
? CPLP or Master Instructional Designer certification from ATD or CPT certification from ISPI and Masters degree in Instructional Systems Technology or Instructional Design.
