Join our Financial Reporting and Research team dedicated to preparing high quality and timely external financial reporting and assisting all areas of the organization with accounting guidance. This position will contribute by preparing and reviewing accounting and financial reporting for the enterprise. This role will mainly have responsibility for insurance statutory financial reporting and related filings. Duties will also include audit oversight and insurance company department of insurance filings.

This position will support OneAmerica's accounting and finance organization to help ensure compliance with both U.S. GAAP and statutory accounting which will include researching, documenting, and resolving various GAAP and Statutory accounting conclusions.

This position will partner with key areas within corporate finance, corporate actuarial, and the business divisions.

Key actions specific to the role include:
• Preparation and review of insurance company statutory reporting and filings
• External audit coordination and oversight
• Preparation of insurance company department of insurance filings and financial surveys
• Identification and responsibility for process improvements
• U.S. GAAP and Statutory accounting research and documentation

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
4+ years of experience including at least 2 years of experience with financial reporting or technical accounting research, interpretation, documentation, and communication.

Preferred Qualifications:
CPA license
Insurance experience
Excellent communication and problem solving skills
Proficient in MS Excel
