ETL Leader










As part of this transformation, we are looking for a dynamic individual to develop a cohesive team environment that maximizes OneAmerica's values and strengths in a rapidly evolving business environment. Ensuring our ETL developers have the appropriate training, certifications, coaching, and mentoring to deliver on our promises is the key aspect of this role. This role also works with other IT Leaders to ensure business outcomes are met.





Responsibilities include:



Work with ETL Practice Lead and the Enterprise Architecture team to develop and implement OneAmerica's ETL delivery strategy




  • Responsible for ensuring their teams (OneAmerica associates and third-party vendors) are delivering project outcomes

  • Work with the IT Plan Organization and Enterprise Application leaders to solve project resource and process issues

  • Work with Enterprise Application leaders to solve process issues

  • Assess gaps in teams' performance and ensure adequate measures to fulfil the gaps through capacity alignment and training

  • Work with architecture and other disciplines inside and outside of IT to actualize the OA Enterprise Architecture strategy

  • Identify opportunities for improvement in team performance and utilization

  • Follow-up on open issues and action items to ensure they are resolved

  • Work with Practice Lead and team members to implement best practices, standards, and procedures to encourage team consistency, efficiency, and maintainability

  • Identify metrics necessary to ensure the ETL team is improving their quality and delivery efficiency

  • Communicates team risks and successes to peers, Data Delivery Department Leader, and associates to educate and ensure confidence in the direction of the team

  • Manage ETL team and perform performance reviews

  • Work with team members to develop their personal development plans and support them along their career journey

  • Work with team members to ensure their key actions align to the enterprise and team goals






  • Experience working with a captive workforce and third-party vendors to drive delivery results through geographically diverse teams

  • Understanding of Data integration, Data warehouse and ETL tools

  • Experience working with data / data warehouse professionals on integration interfaces/systems in medium to large scale data warehouse and OLAP solutions

  • Excellent Communication and Presentation skills

  • Experience leading teams that create information technology solutions to business challenges

  • Sound people management skills interpersonal, approachable, motivational

  • Deep understand of overall systems development life cycle including various methodologies (agile, waterfall, iterative)

  • Strong influencing & negotiation skills

  • Good oral and written communication skills reports, proposals, good presentation skills

  • Offer solutions/suggestions to improve current procedures and systems

  • Minimum three years' experience of direct people management


    Education:




  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science or a related business discipline.
