OneAmerica Financial Partners is seeking a Vice President (VP) for Vendor Management for its corporate office in Indianapolis. This position will report to the Senior Vice President Enterprise Strategy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Lead a centralized function responsible for OneAmerica's strategic sourcing and vendor management strategy including establishing a competitive third party supply base, negotiating complex contracts, and vendor management activities
•Grow and optimize the sourcing, contracting, and supplier management discipline and best practices across the enterprise.
•Implement and manage relevant corporate and departmental policies and procedures
•Recruit, train, and develop professional sourcing and vendor management leaders and associates; lead and coach to drive high performance culture
•Identify and implement sourcing, procurement, and contract management technology where appropriate
•Effectively partner with individual business areas and the Office of the General Counsel to control costs, drive service excellence, and mitigate and manage risks associated with vendor relationships
•Facilitate and drive third party sourcing initiatives through the full contract lifecycle
•Structure and standardize contracts to manage commercial, legal, privacy, intellectual-property, informational security, business continuity, and reputational risk to acceptable levels
•Provide oversight for vendor compliance and service level attainment, drive a vendor performance management discipline ensuring service levels and scorecards are in place and managed
•Proactively manage supply base contracts to reduce year-over-year total cost and risk exposure
•Strike an appropriate balance between serving the needs of individual business areas and acting as the overall vendor management “corporate conscience” that protects the interests of the overall enterprise
•Counsel individual business units on larger, enterprise-wide cost and risk concerns that affect individual transactions and drive resolution of any identified conflicts
•Develop and manage an overall enterprise level risk management and reporting process for vendor related activities based on various risk filters (e.g. privacy risks, operational risks, off-shore risks, etc.)
•Act as a trusted business advisor and internal business leader in the overall organization; collaborate with senior leaders to develop short and long term sourcing and category strategies
•10-15 years professional experience in procurement and vendor management, preferably in the financial services industry and in indirect purchase categories (e.g. information technology, outsourcing, customer support, travel, etc.)
•Ability to understand business and market dynamics and reach the right balance between cost and service and risk. Expertise with contracting, negotiation, sourcing, and risk management essential. Individual with experience building a vendor management function a plus.
•At least 3 years managerial experience with strong leadership and development capabilities
