Responsibilities: Draft plan amendments and plan restatements including 401(a) volume submitter, individually designed, 403(b), and 457(b) deferred compensation plans. Prepare governmental filings relative to plan design changes. Provide consultative plan design and technical assistance via plan design reviews and/or plan design discussions with prospective, new, or current plan sponsors. Prepare explanatory letters, perform research and/or legislative project work, and respond to plan design inquiries from internal contacts, investment advisors, and retirement plan sponsors. Contribute as a subject matter expert for various retirement services on-line or classroom courses.
Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience or 10+ years of experience as a retirement plan document drafter or closely related discipline. Experience should include plan document work, plan design consultation and /or technical research. Industry designations, such as QKA, QPA or TGPC (either achieved or actively pursuing). Preferred Qualifications: Outstanding organizational skills, demonstrated decision making skills and technical knowledge of ERISA and current legislation, experience in analysis and research. Employee should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
